Radeon HD 6870

Hey guys! So, I realize this is probably a really silly question, but if I wanted to put a Radeon 6870 in my build, does it really matter if it's a Gigabyte card, XFX or MSI? My mobo will be a Gigabyte (Z77-Ds3H) but some cards seem easier to find than others.

That is a good question! All the 6870 cards listed in the Wiki have the same device ID, so it looks as if they are either identical or close to it. Note that the details on getting them working are slightly different, so you have a few options should it not work immediately.

At what point will I need to enter a device ID, and where? I've gone with the Asus 6870. Shipped yesterday!
