Radeon 4890 only in safe mode

HI,

unfortunately i had to give back my GTX660, and only got HD4890, but of course - there are problems on 10.8.3 - i can only boot with -x using QE_CI Exotic ATI4800Controller.kext



If i boot without "-x" i got this weird message:

** Device in slot: SLOT--1 **

I tried with graphicsenabler yes/no, pcirootuid 0/1, nothing works. Can you please help me? I don't want to go back to WIndows.

I got this already in ati4800controller.kext, i guess 0x94601002 is mine.

The HD 4890 is an odd video card and requires a special patch from netkas to get it working in Lion or Snow Leopard. He never created a ML version.

I just can't get it past this "PORT" error

Using some other kext (also exotic, but different version) i got different error:

sound assertion in applehdacodecgeneric at line 360

Maybe i'll try clean install 10.8.2 without 10.8.3 update...

This is my 6th hack, but 1st time i'm using Radeon...

Ok, 4890 is working flawlessly on 10.8

Now backup and update to 10.8.1 and so on... let's see when should i stop ;P

10.8.1 and still working ;p

Ok, it seems 10.8.1 is as far i can go. Well, still better than Windows ;D

I just did a fresh install, and 10.8.4 is working fine with my HD4890 1080p with qe/ci... MAGIC!
