Hello everyone,

I'd like to ask if my Sapphire Tri X R9 290X graphics card is suitable and compatible for a
video workstation build without going with heavy / half funtional workarround.
Do AMD Cards work with Premiere and AE or is there only the ****videa way and will I loose any (for video editing essential) functions that nvidea does support?
Will it be supported for rendering tasks in Premiere and AE or not? Should I consider to sell this card and
buy a GTX 770?

The AMD cards work best for FCP X, utilizing the OpenCL framework. Apple owns
the OpenCL trademark. That's why there are two AMD FirePros in every new Mac Pro.

Nvidia cards utilize CUDA cores for programs like Premiere and AE. If you won't be using FCP X
then go with the 770.

Or should I use a sub 200€ workstation grade card?
