Hello everyone.

So I've done the research, and according to various sources this build should work.
My plans are to run OS X (for work) then have another HDD running XP on there and F12 it.

Fingers crossed, here are the proposed specs.

Gigabyte X58A-UDR3
Core i7 930
6GB G.Skill DDR3 1600
Gigabyte 1GB GT240
WD SATA 1TB

Only parts I'm a little sketchy on are the compatibility for the RAM and GFX.
I can't foresee any problems, but figure it's far better to ask before spending ~$1200...
Have I hit any mines?

Cheers guys

Looks OK.

Just don't skimp on the PSU and you'll be OK.
Also, you might want to consider using a good aftermarket CPU cooler.

Corsair HX650 for the PSU, haven't looked into a good CPU cooler at all, any suggestions on what I should be looking for?

Cheers

Great choice !

I love the Scythe Mugen-2 Rev.B (or the BigShuriken for low profile cases) !

Or the Noctua NH-D14 (expensive), for absolutely the best money can buy...

Ended up going for a Thermaltake ISCG 400, was a pretty limited selection from the place I was going through, but reviews and specs seemed positive enough. (beats having no cooler as first intended haha)

Will be built and running in 3 days, I'll no doubt be back posting pics and problems when the OSX install goes wrong for me

Thanks for the feedback and advice guys!
Cheers
