What's the word JK?

The word is that I'm getting DAE errors when starting Pro Tools HD 9 under Mac OS on the Super Micro board, but not under Windows, so it seems to be a DSDT issue. Unfortunately noone could help me with those and I didn't have time to read all the literature so I'm kinda stuck. I'd still appreciate any help though!

You can find my DSDT error log and the DSDT file itself under viewtopic.php?p=154768#p154768.

Regards, JK

We're all talking about PCI, not PCIe.

I know that, but I saw some reply mentioning that KP on 10.6.8 with HD PCIe card.

Anyway, it has to be HD3?
My board(ga-p67a-ud4-b3) has 2 PCI ports. If I had HD2 PCI, I could have tested it at least...

Nice - so does this mobo have what they call "native PCI support"?

Also, any special reason why you are using XP SP2 instead of XP SP3 ?

Will you be trying to loadup OSX ?

Thanks for the info!

Congrats! You are the second confirmed SB PTHD PCI-X user.

Your motherboard would not fit my needs but glad that you are a happy camper. :headbang:

What about Mac OS X ?
Have you almost tried to install it or not?
I had a lot of problems to put OS X on this board! After a lot of tries mobo died and now I'm still waiting for the replacemet one.
With Win 7 64 bit there was non problem to get it work, I'm curious to know if my troubles where due to hardware problem on mobo or not.

Yeah... I was looking to the Asus server mobo/E3-1245 route, but it was easier to get the GA-Q67 motherboard.
I have been working over XP SP2 for the last 4 years with no problems (offline daw, no Internet...). The next step will be W7 and PT HD9.
Sorry, but no OSX on my agenda... I know this is a "hacking" thread but it is being one of the first places where to get really good and valuable info about sandybridge/Protools HD builds  .
