X79 board, SMBios set to Mac Pro 5.1, Titan Black video card. All was working great with 10.9.5 & the matching web driver from Nvidia.

I did a clean install of Yosemite, using Unibeast & a generic Radeon card (6xxx). Everything was working great.

Next, I installed the latest Nvidia web drivers (for 10.10.0), added the "nvda_enable=1", and shut down. I put in the Titan Black card & rebooted, but now get hung at "Still waiting for root device" message. Even if I go back to the Radeon card, I still cannot get past the "Still waiting for root device" message.

Any thoughts as to what the web drivers may have done to break the boot?

Try UseKernelCache=no... after i installed the nvidia drivers m=i could only boot with my 970 when i used those flags.

I am probably wrong, but I thought the flag should be nvda_drv=1 to enable the web drivers to be used instead?

Thats correct... make sure you add it to your boot.plist like this.

Code:
 <key>Kernel Flags</key>
 <string>kext-dev-mode=1 nvda_drv=1</string>

Canprice and maaxk are right. I think the flag should be nvda_drv=1 in order to work.

If not, try to throw in -f
