PROBLEMS INSTALLING KEXTS WITH KEXTHELPER.....

Hi everyone!

I have a problem. When I install the kexts with kexthelper b7 it says that the installation was done sucessfully, but really when I display the advanced options with the code it says something like this (for example):

/System/Library/Extensions/ATI5000Controller.kext No such file or directory

After of this I look for it in my extensions folder and it doesn´t appear so I think that really it is not installed.

I think that I use well kexthelper but I tell you the stpes I take:

1) Open kexthelper
2) Drag kext into it
3) Easy install (with the pass)

That’s all… Am I right? What can I do to install the kext??

Open disk utility, select your drive and click on repair permissions
alternate route - run MultiBeast and select system utiliies to repair permissions
