UniBeast was always designed to work with USB sticks. It was never designed or promised to work on external hard drives.
That may be true but it was working in 3.0 and now it doesn't in 4.0. Allowing the install from USB hard drives significantly shortens the install time and as far as I can see, there is no technical reason why it suddenly doesnt work other than Unibeast 4.0 is restricting it.
Also, to be clear, that link does not explain why USB hard drives used just fine with 3.0 are not working with 4.0. Microsoft did not break into my office and flash the firmware on all my USB drives
