Problem starting Steam

Maybe the hardware profile has something to do with it? I Have Mac14,2 which is iMac 27. What is Yours ?
 
I'm having the same problem with an almost identical build.

GA-Z97N-Gaming 5
i7 4790K
Zotac Amp GTX 760
 
Just wanted to leave a note to say that this doesn't appear to be a hack specific problem - I have the same problem with a 2014 MacBook Pro. Can't find any solution either...

EDIT: Try quitting Chrome and then running Steam - no idea why, but it worked for me!

I DID IT:headbang:


1.Find in applications Steam.app and right mouse click
2.click to second option( i don't know how its called in English)
3. contents-macos-steam_osx
4.run a one copy - its hangs its normal
5.don't close it
6. run second copy of steam_osx and login))

login process was very hard for me i had very long response- but you can do it) then you login close both windows and stert steam normally)

Thanks for the temporary solution! However it takes toooooooo long time to enter the UI.
btw, Is it possible to issue a bug in the steam community about it?
 
Same issue here. I have a Z97 board, i5-4690k, and a GTX 970 card.
