Hello Community

I have tried in many ways to install OSX El Capitan in my Optiplex 980

In the DST have disabled DGTP and HPET and reaches the point where it says Still waiting for root device.

From there I could not move.

My Specifications

MoBo: Dell 0D441T
CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-560M
RAM: 4GB
HDD: 160 GB Western Digital

I appreciate your help.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

"Still waiting for root device" is usually because the system cannot find your USB installer.
If it is in a USB3 port move it to a USB2 port.
If it is already in a USB2 port then move it to a different one.

I think that you may need a supported graphics card too.

It happens that I've had in all my computer has ports to no avail to help me with the installation ... there another alternative that can be tested ... as if lack of some kext

Thank you for your support:beachball::beachball::beachball:

Same problem here - tried switching all the ports (on the 980 all ports are USB2, there are no USB3 ports), have cpus=1 set, able to get to Bluetooth IO and then get stuck on "waiting for root device".
