Prevent the "UPDATE" partition from being automatically mounted

Hi all.

Could you tell me a way to prevent the "UPDATE" partition from being automatically mounted in HighSierra?
Is it normal for Monterey to always boot from Preboot ?

I solved it with UUID=VolumeName none apfs rw,noauto in fstab file.
