Alright.

I think I am ready for the build. However, since I am using the Quicksilver G4 case and I realize it will be a challenge to get everything inside the case and I'd want to try to use low-profile parts as much as possible. I am torn on the power supply (no clue what to get), motherboard and CPU cooler. My local computer store does not carry any of the mATX mobos that is on the tonymacx86's customac 2012 list. Im hoping the mobos I listed are compatiable and will be useful.

I do occasional photoshop work (~20 hours a week) plus CS related work. I also would like to do some gaming in either OSx or Win7 platform. It will occasionally be hooked up to a TV for presentation.

I am trying to keep this as a budget build as much as possible.

so.. here's the list

CPU Cooler – Which one to get??????

Power Supply - What fits in a quicksilver G4 case????

In the motherboards the 1st, 3rd, and 4th has unsupported audio, so your only choice is the 2nd.:)

i am using a graphite (sawtooth) case. i have a quicksilver case i am planning to mod one day.

i used a corsair modular power supply and it screws in conveniently where the old G4's power supply went; even the holes match up in the polycarbonate.

i ended up cutting the middle tray out of the case to have more clearance to work with. i am presently using stock cooler on an i7.

edit: whatever you do, make sure you measure the back carefully. i did not, and now i can't really add any expansion ports other than my video card. i'll fix it when i upgrade; they were the best cases ever made.
