I helped a friend install Mountain Lion from scratch on his GA-P55-UD3L motherboard tonight. After using Multibeast 5.02 with proper DSDT, etc, it always resulted in a black screen right before system login.
After a bunch of trial and error, I found that removing the EthernetBuiltIn flag from org.chameleon.Boot.plist would get rid of the black screen. However, that ends up killing logins for the App Store, Messages, Facetime, etc.
After a bunch more trial and error, I tried installing ** Chimera 1.10.0 ** instead of Chimera 1.11 that Multbeast for ML uses. With that installed EthernetBuiltIn could be set to yes and it boots fine with no black screen and full access to the Apple services.
So just FYI in case others hit a similar situation. It seems something in 1.11 can trip things up.
