I am running Lion 10.7.2 now, and here is my geek bench score using demo version (32bit):

is this a normal score guys for geek bench (first time using geekbench)? My cpu and memory score seem to be pretty low though compared to some scores here, well my memory is running 1520Mhz (rated @1600Mhz) because of overclocked cpu to 4Ghz.

Just for an info my cinebench score is this one:

Thank you. :)
You're only getting 300 geekbench points more running at 4Ghz than I am running stock clock at 2.93Ghz.
I'd say that something is bottle necking on you system!

An i7 870 clocked at 4Ghz should be hitting 13000 or more.

Have you checked your temps while running Cinebench in CPU mode?

Thats the one I am trying to find out if there is bottlenecking. My cinebench score seems pretty normal for that setting, but my geek bench score seems low. Temperature wise is very healthy. All of my cpu core temps never go over 60 degree celcius at full load. if anyone with the same motherboard with me have a geekbench score would be nice to share.

Alright guys, now my geekbench score is fixed already. I think they want you to buy the 64 bit version to get good score...

Finished my new build this weekend. Overclocked the RAM to 1600MHz and the CPU to 4.3GHz.

Here is the GeekBench Score for my I7 Build: GeekBench-I7.jpg

I ran the 32bit Version as I am not paying to get a one time result.

I haven't kept these settings as I had some stability issues that I eventually tracked down to the HD3000 graphics shared memory settings.

Anyway, I'm sure I only changed the memory multiplier to x16 and the CPU multiplier to x43. Above 43 wouldn't boot, but it seemed to work ok at 4.3GHz. I didn't mess with any voltages as I don't know enough about them and don't want to risk damaging my CPU. I monitored the core temps throughout the Geekbench run and they didn't go above 60ishC.

I'm at 4GHz and 1600MHz RAM now, which seems to work just fine.

Nice scores.

Thought I'd like to share: On my system, if I set to 40X mult, 1600Mhz RAM, I crash during BIOS bootup.

To boot successfully, I *LOWERED* the Vcore cpu voltage from it's 1.335V auto setting to 1.330V. That allowed me to boot up successfully and still be at 40X. I further lowered the voltage down to 1.325V / 40X mult and still great.

Then I finally bump to 41X mult, 1600Mhz DDR, with Vcore = 1.325Volts... working great so far. I'll try to report in a week or so if it continues to be stable. Idle temp = 38-39*C
