Is 3,1 the best way to go in most cases? Does it make any difference if I have a 2500k and Z68 chipset?

6935 everything stock 10.6.7, 4GB RAM, nVidia 8400 512MB i5 650

I did buy a Corsair H50 closed loop water cooler on sale. On sale, I think, because it doesn't mount on 1155 Mother boards without DIY mod. I will try overclocking. Folks report the i5 650 OC well. I really could not justify that purchase but...

When I see other's scores, I wish I could justify new motherboard & CPU, but I have no reason because I don't play games or encode video.

Performed a simple overclock by only changing the multiplier to 40, so now at 4ghz. Geekbench score went from 12.8k to 14.5k.
