Try smbios 3.1 it could make a big difference. any reason you didn't use it in the first place? its default with multi beast.

hahaha sorry, but I'm all new to this. Googled smbios 3.1, and there barely seems to be any info!

in multi-beast under Customisation>System Definitions>Mac Pro. Use Mac Pro 3.1

Update on mine I cracked 16000, 16378 to be exact.

Turns out my overclocking is working. 4.5ghz to get that result. the reason it doesnt show is because it kicks in when needed (turbo boost)

Run just now - 10513.

Back when the install was a fresh 10.6.6, I'd normally get high 10.5k/low 10.6k (I have a video on Youtube where it was 10,549 with ScreenFlow recording). I think 10.6.8 brought it down to the low-mid 10.5k.

Lion : ~13,000 average
Snow Leopard: ~13,500 average

Same settings: 4 Ghz (174 x 23) CPU, 1392 Mhz RAM, 12 GB RAM (6 x 2 GB), SSD boot drive, XFX 5770 single slot.

That said, I don't care. Lion feels significantly faster in every way. And I get 12% higher Open GL scores in Cinebench.
