We need a quick list of laptops that work with OSX here, there is just nothing like a buyers guide for laptops and it really sucks.

If you have one working please make a post in this thread and let us know what is/is not working on it. You can make it quick, just so we have an idea of where to start when buying a laptop for hackintosh.

THANKS!!!!

HP ProBook/EliteBook series: 4x30s, 4x40s, 4x0s, 4x0 G0, 4x0 G1, etc.

Dell Inspiron 3x37/5x37/7x37:

Note: There are many more, but the ones above are the ones that have reasonably complete DSDT patches. Hardware that is similar to the hardware mentioned in the compatibility thread can generally be made to work: http://www.tonymacx86.com/laptop-compatibility/106791-laptop-compatibility.html

Can we please get other people to post laptops that mostly work.

I really like the idea of the Dell Inspiron 7000.
Do you know if that laptop is able to be upgraded?

Like the video card, ram and SSD?

Off-topic, but you should refer to the service manual for questions regarding hardware upgrades.

Yea i tried that with the MSI and it wasn't posted I had to chat with MSI rep guy to get the answers. Ill take a look at dell website for manual and see what i find.
