Not exactly sure what the problem is, this is my first hackintosh and the first time I've gotten past installation. Below I have listed all the steps I have taken to get here. My main problems I've noticed, I have flickering happening, every 10 or 15 seconds. I have had a couple of random crashes. I removed iBoot to reboot and it gives me the greyscreen with the restart message.
System:
Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3
EVGA GeForce GTX 280
INTEL CORE I5 2500 3.3G
Sony Optiarc DVD/CD
I have my HDD/DVD plugged into the white Sata ports: HDD in the bottom (Sata 0) and the DVD in the top port (Sata 1)
I have the monitor plugged into the GTX 280
The board shipped with F3 bios, I have not updated.
Steps to get to where I'm at:
Set BIOS:
-Set to AHCI
-Set HPET to Enabled 64-bit
-Set boot priority to CD/DVD first and HDD second
iBoot 3.1.0
-Booted with iBoot and eject after it loads
-Used PSIRootUID=1 -x GraphicsEnabler=Yes
-Installed 10.6.0 Snow Leopard
Post Install
-placed dsdt.aml from the dsdt database on my desktop
-updated to 10.6.7
-ran multibeast and selected:
--"User DSDT"
--"System Utilities"
--Expanded "Drivers and Bootloaders" and expanded "Kexts and Enablers". Expanded "Audio" and expanded "Realtek ALC8xx" and select "ALC8xxHDA". Expand "Non-DSDT HDAEnabler" and select "ALC889"
--Expanded "Disk" and selected "IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector"
--Expanded "Miscellaneous" and selected "USB 3.0 - NEC/Renesas"
--Expanded "Network" and selected "Realtek Gigabit Ethernet 2.0.6"
--Expanded "Customization" and also "Boot Options". Select "64-bit Apple Boot Screen" and "Instant Menu"
--Expanded Graphics and selected "NVEnabler"
--Expanded "OSx86 Software" and selected "Kext Utility B7"
-installed BridgeHelper
Any and all help is greatly accepted. Thanks everyone for this awesome community!
Let me know if you need any other info to help me get to the problem.
