[h=1]PNY Optima Series 240GB Solid State Drive - 2.5" Form Factor SSD, SATA III, 60,000 iOPS Read - SSD7SC240GOPT-RB[/h]
TigerDirect ($80)and Best Buy ($89) have these on sale and I was wondering if anyone has had any good/bad experience with these drives?

I would avoid that model and the Kingston SSDnow as well. You really don't know
what you'll get with either of those. See the following story:

http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/...itching-cheaper-components-after-good-reviews

The best low cost SSD drives right now are the Crucial MX100 and the older M500's are
also being discounted to around 80 dollars for 240GB now. One note, the MX100's will need
the boot 0 error fixed if you'll use it as a boot drive. Has the advanced sector format.

for the price 89 dollars for 240gb i gave it a try and the pny ssd installed easily and works well , over 300 mb write and over 400 mb read, does not come with any software........I used super duper to clone the new ssd.
