Hi, I just bought one of the buyer's guide suggested MacPro set-ups.
Everything is working fine in High Sierra 10.13.3 except some things that are annoying me so much:
  1. (FIXED) USB ports which are randomly not working making me have to detach and attach usb in another port to use keyboard or mouse or whatever. (I guess it is fixed by using the XHCI-200-series-injector.kext)
  2. (FIXED) Laggy UI. Scrolling chrome, moving among windows, final cut projects... It is laggy and sometimes freezes and recover after 20-30 secs.
  3. RAM detected is 2133Mhz instead of 2400Mhz.
  4. Very slow boot. I attached the latest screen I get in verbose mode before launching the UI. (seems to be related with NVMe PCIe)
I attached my EFI folder.
Many Thanks in advance.

EDIT 1: Attached files in the way RehabMan asked to do.

Try with this edited version of your config.plist.

Hi P1lgrim,

First, thank you for helping me on this. Sadly I have to say none of my issues were fixed maybe just the laggy UI. But I guess I still suffer all of them. And now I think I crashed something else: I used your config.plist, rebooted, same long boot, when entered MacOS I tried a 4k video 60p in youtube I saw it perfectly smooth, of course with the CPU around 70%. Then I reactivated Hardware acceleration in chrome preferences. Since I did that, I cannot see ANYTHING inside chrome. No webpages, no preferences, NOTHING AT ALL. I tried removing chrome, cleaning all preferences, removing everything related with chrome and the reinstall, but still the same. Indeed, I am writing this post from Safari. :(

Any suggestions?

Three to go! any suggestions?

RAM detected is 2133Mhz instead of 2400Mhz.

Clover is detecting 2133. From misc/preboot.log:

You can override the settings in config.plist/SMBIOS/Memory (you'll need to read the Clover documentation), or maybe config.plist/Boot/XMPDetection=true would help (the setting at config.plist/SMBIOS/Trust might also have an effect).

Very slow boot. I attached the latest screen I get in verbose mode before launching the UI. (seems to be related with NVMe PCIe)

Problems/suggestions:
- You have NVMe + APFS... TRIM is enabled with NVMe unconditionally. TRIM+APFS on certain non-Apple SSDs is known to cause problems. Install on HFS+J instead of APFS.
- CPU PM not implemented. set config.plist/ACPI/SSDT/Generate/PluginType=true.
- HECI should be renamed to IMEI (can be done with config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Patches)
