My first Hackintosh install:

  • Motherboard GA-Z97N-WIFI
  • Intel Core i7-4790K
  • 16GB 1600Mhz DDR3 (8x2)
  • Samsung EVO 840 250GB SSD
  • Corsair CS 550 Watt Modular
  • GeForce GTX 970

I used the the Buyers guide CustoMac Mini Deluxe (mini-ITX)components with a GTX 970 instead of the GTX 760

Installion:

Removed the GTX 970 before installation.

BIOS Settings:

:ch: M.I.T. > Advanced Memory Settings > X.M.P. > Profile 1
:ch: BIOS Features > VT-d > Disable
:ch: Peripherals > Initial Display Output > IGFX <--- on-board graphics for install ()
:ch: Peripherals > Intel Processor Graphics > Enable
:ch: Power Management > Wake on LAN > Disable

Only the DVI output works (HDMI gives boot error)

I had to replace my 2x8 GB memory with 1x4GB to get to the installation process. (-
v maxmem=4096 wassent working for me)

Completed the Installation successfully

Run MultiBeast:

After rebooting i get the following error (with the onboard graphics):

With the GTX 970 installed and bios setting to PCIe, it freezes after FakeSMCKeystore: started

Can somebody please:rolleyes: help me out?

If needed I can access my SSD (usb-sata) with Macbook Pro.

I have essentially the same components except for the graphics card.
I only changed 2 things in the bios, I set to optimized default setting and Vt-d disable.

In Multibeast I didn't select anything in graphics.
Finished the install and HDMI worked perfectly.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

P.S.

I couldn't get iMessage to work so I took a shot with Clover.
The guide is a little more complex, but the end result is superior to Multibeast in my opinion.
If all else fails, you might want to give Clover a shot.

I did a complete reinstall, had to remove my gtx 970, had to plug in 1x4GB and it's running without multibeast.

I can only boot with the Unibeast USB.

Can you post your multibeast settings?

Yes i have installed the drivers and added

<key>Kernel Flags</key>

<string>nvda_drv=1</string>

getting the following error

-x maxmem=8192
for 16GB RAM installed.

I have treed this but it doesn't work. I still get Kernel panic

Also installed NullCpuPowermanagend, still keeps rebooting after kernel Panic (-v -f)
