Hi,

I want to set up OS X on my system and would appreciate the help in finding out if my system can run it.

Mainboard: Intel i945G(Model: D945GCCR)
Processor: Intel Pentium D 3.00GHz
Memory: 2GB DDR2
Graphic: NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT 1GB
HDD: Seagate (ST3500320AS) 500GB drive

I can buy a new hard drive if required.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm fairly certain the Pentium D processor is too old to be supported.

What about Asus P5K Motherboard and Intel Core 2 duo E8400's @ 3.0 GHZ?

Pentium D is too old. Does your motherboard support using Core 2 Duo CPUs? If so you may try to find a second hand Core 2 Duo CPU and then you may be able to install Mac OSX Snow Leopard (10.6).

Should work, but depends on the graphics card you have.

Yes, the motherboard is compatible with Core 2 Duo CPUs. I'll try and get my hands on the CPU.
