Planning to use a Noctua NH-D15 cooler on a i9-7980xe -- Alternatives?

Not a big fan of water cooling. The rig will travel in the back seat of a car maybe 50 times per year. The NH-D15 is heavy but not as heavy as water cooling. It appears to do a fine job cooling the i9-7980xe according to reviews. Does anyone have tales of caution or woe for this plan of mine?

I've got one running on my i9-7900. So far its great. I haven't seen any high temperatures so far. Within the first week I had to travel with it. The size and weight of it made me a bit nervous for traveling, but I laid the case down on its side and it was fine. I wouldn't worry about it too much in the future, but I'd be mindful of it when I'm traveling.
