Persistents report of Thunderbolt Firmware Update 1.2 in AppStore

AppStore is working all right with system patches and software updates, however there is one buggy update that is still asked to be installed even after multiple installs.......

softwareupdate --ignore ThunderboltFirmwareUpdate1.2

(spaces exactly as typed).

It works. But what is the cause?
