You would be better served using a NIC with AQC-107 chipset, as Apple use the same chipset for these NiC's in their iMacPro1,1, Macmini8,1 and MacPro7,1 so full native support is provided.

Thanks I knew That
But I'm looking for a PCIe 1x with the fastest ethernet connection
All NIC with AQC-107 chipset are PCIe 4x
I was thinking that Macmini8,1 is using AQC-113 ...
About the Qnap PCIe cards .. there is no MacOS drivers obviously ... from Qnap
thanks again

Most PCI x1 2.5Gbe cards seem to use the RealTek 8125B chipset.

Maybe a USB to 2.5G ethernet adaptor can work? I've seen a lot of them advertised as being compatible with macOS.

I have a USB to 2.5 GbE adapter. It works, but puts a heavy load on the CPU when in use.
Other brands(D-Link DUB-E250) with a slightly different chipset(realtek b-type) are said to work better, with less CPU load.

that was my main gaol to get a fastest ethernet connection through a tiny PCIe x1 Slot (tiny CPU load)
It seems more complicated than I imagined

Thanks all , for your answers
