I got it to work now. you just have to disable the
AppleAHCIPort | 45787465 726E616C | 496E7465 726E616C | External icons patch


and patch the hot plug like this:

Yes. I just updated. It all works fine.

I only tested on OpenCore 0.6.3 for now.

Go to config.plist > Kernel > Quirks and enable DisableIoMapper. If you don't do this, ethernet and Wi-Fi will be broken.

So apart from the DisableIoMapper, nothing else deviates from your 0.6.3 EFI, right? Updating now.

Did anyone notice more fluidity in the new OS?

Not sure if anyone has the same exact system as they had before Big Sur to show a benchmark comparison of how performance varies because I can definitely feel a difference.

tried to upgrade to big-sur but the Big-Sur installation was stuck. I see my FakeSMC and all other kexts are not loading. I'm on clover still. Do I have to change to a working hack with OpenCore first?
