Ok first its not that after I installed the new Lnx2Mac kext it started panicing, though I had high hopes that it would fix it.

So I have a Gigabyte GA-X58-USB3 everythings works perfectly except that I keep having random panics, so I searched everywhere and tried everything like updating the bios firmware to F3 then installing the DSDT, confirmed it works because now the audio runs with the built in kexts perfectly.

until today I had no idea what's exactly causing the panic so I didn't ask online, but today I tried disabling the ethernet and amazingly it ran for more than 3 hours without panicing, so searched a bit and found about the Lnx2Mac new driver, restarted, checked the profiler, browsed the internet for around 15 minutes until it paniced

I am really out of ideas, well except upgrading to lion, but it requires repartitioning the disk cuz it needs GUID or something but that would be messy as there's a big fat windows7 residing right there, and my main objective by running a hackintosh is Xcode as I am learning Objective-C (which happened to be unexpectedly easy and more convenient than C++, not mentioning that Xcode is like the best IDE ever!) until I can afford a Mac with close specs to my PC.

Heres my system info:

Snow leopard 10.6.8

Obviously Gigabyte GA-X58-USB3 M/B

Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 3.10 GHz (overclocked a little bit, on windows its ~ 3.25 or something)

Memory: 4GB (2 x DDR3) 2Gb Kingmax, 1600MHz, CL9, FLGE85F-B8KJ9A, NANO
It shows in the System profiler that the speed is 1079 MHz if this means anything

Graphics card: GeForce GTX 460 1GB

Ethernet inside the profiler:
Type: Ethernet Controller
Bus: PCI
Vendor ID: 0x10ec
Device ID: 0x8168
Subsystem Vendor ID: 0x1458
Subsystem ID: 0xe000
Revision ID: 0x0006
Link Width: x1
BSD name: en0
Kext name: RealtekRTL81xx.kext
Location: /System/Library/Extensions/RealtekRTL81xx.kext
Version: 0.0.90

tried reading the console for any error logs but seems there's nothing that seems to be related.

Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated, you guys are my only hope ...
And sorry for the long post.

Ok here's an update ... disabling the ethernet just extends the time it takes to crash ... but it still crashes ... this sucks.

I think I do have to install lion after all, but I know something will go wrong because I am super unlucky, I hate my life!

dandal,
First of all, start booting verbose so you get a "printout" of the panic... Then post the panic here...

Also, as you are encountering stability problems, I'd disable any kind of overclocking. No point in doing so if your rig is not stable enough.

Lastly, search the forum for NotShy's guide to testing RAM and CPU.
