I have a pretty solid (stable) Hackintosh and the only thing I really wish was better is graphics - the hardware is fine, it's the drivers, I think. I have the system listed on the left, and I'd like better gaming performance in Portal 2 and Starcraft II, mostly. I'm running Lion 10.7.2. I know nVidia's Mac drivers are poop so I'm thinking of jumping into an ATi card. If I bought a 6850 and popped it in (the Gigabyte one from Tony's Sandy Bridge builds), what kind of system tweaks am I in for? I figure I might as well get a faster card as well as better drivers at the same time.
Will Graphics Enabler be enough? Assuming it is, I guess I'm ready to order. Thanks in advance.
