Well I was feeling adventurous this morning so I bought ML form the app store and downloaded unibeast. Figured that I need legacy usbfix so checked it by default and booted fro USB....it would boot all the way to the language select but with out any USB keyboard/mouse support it booted fro the USB drive. So I restarted and redid unibeast with out the USB option same problem. So I figured I would run multibeast with just the iousbfamily rollback on the USB install drive. Booted into install again my Bluetooth dongle didn't work but it never has from install. but my back up USB keyboard and mouse did. So I'm currently updating have about 15 min left.(crosses fingers) I will update if it works or not


Update

Well install got all the way to about 1min left and popped up and said install failed. Rebooted using the usb drive and it installed alright....but it seems to have formated the drive....all my old files are missing which kind of sucks.

Uptade 2

Here are the steps that I took to get a working install.

1. Buy ML from the app store on compter I was upgrading.
2. Run unibeast with out USB fix
3. Before Restart run multibeast and just check the "iousbfamily rollback" option on the USB unibeast install drive
4. Install OSX (mine was an upgrade...it failed the install with one minute left looks like it just failed transfering the user files)
5. Reboot with the USB unibeast but select the drive you installed to
6. Remove IOUSBAttachedSCSI.kext
7. Ran kext tool to repair the permissions and rebuild cache
8. Run multibeast with DSDT, Repair permissions, ALC8xxHDA for Legacy ALC 888 and ALC888b/887
9. Reboot completely working 10.8 install! enjoy hopefully this helped out
 
So i found most of my files in a (deleted user folder) I am having an issue with getting multiest to install. it fails the install all I need is DSDT and audio roll back to be good...and bootloader update. Anyone have any ideas?

GA-P55-USB3 rev2 F9 here... I went through all the same things you did except my installer gets to 3 min left and errors out. I also tried booting up the ML partition even tough it didn't finish and all I have is the white screen, with no USB support and the spinning rainbow icon :(
 
Well Not sure if I can save this install or if I will need to doa clean install. Here is my install log when I try and install multibeast if anyone has time to look over see if there is something to be done? if not I will just make a backup of my documents and iphoto and do a clean install.

Well looks like I figured it out. Not sure if this is the right way but it worked for me

I removed IOUSBAttachedSCSI.kext (made a backup incase I need it)

Ran kext tool

ran multibeast restarted
 
Not really sure I googled but didn't really get any hits.

Hey.. I got same problem with you (installing failed). then after try a few times..I success install ML . Hope my step below can help you.

I have this mb long long time... The good practice way is to have three HD handy.. One for ML, Lion, SLion HD. I have three OSX run on this MB. All working well so i can boot up any OSX if one is fail... HD is cheap.. So buy spare then clone over before doing some testing... Still I love LION than Mountain Lion.. Just following step clearly, there is issue with USB keyboard and mouse but using rollback method will help out.. Good luck all ..
