I successfully oc'ed to 4.5 on my i7 2600k. It shows up in windows and BIOS but not in lion under system information or "about this mac" thing. Is it actually overclocked but just not showing it by chance?

Thanks

Neither Windows nor OS X shows that your CPU is OCed.
Win 7 recognizes the sandy bridges at default clock, even when you OC. Beacause of the fact that you OC SB CPUs by it's turbo stepping and not it's "real" clock.
Same for OS X. It'll always show you an Intel i7 2600K 3,4GHz @ 3,4GHz.

I don't know how to read out your actual clock in OS X, maybe iStats helps. You definetaly need some 3rd party software to check your actual OC clocks with a Sandy CPU.
