Overclkock not applied, please help a noob

What happens when you shut turbo off and just let the cpu run at let's say 4Ghz?

Disable Speedstep in BIOS, this should get the overclock working in OS X if you're using NullCPUPowerManagement. You can leave C1E enabled which means you won't be running at overclock speeds all the time.

The obvious downside to this method is you loose the benefit of Speedstep in Windows as well.
