:beachball:Greetings,

It is with great disappointment that I find myself writing this post. I recently purchase a hackintosh via EBay. It was working perfectly but I made the stupid mistake of unknowingly updating the software via apple software updates:banghead:. Now when I try to restart the system. It goes to the screen where the progress bar starts moving alone just fine (with apple logo on top) but then it stops half way and gets stuck and doesn't go any further then that. Please help me! I contacted the seller for help but his response was "I don't troubleshoot problems you have created, I just sell pre-built systems". The specs for the system are below if that helps. It was also last running OSX Yosemite 10.10.3

Dude we "just" fixed this! o_O

Retrace these steps http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-help/172390-osx-yosemite-10-10-3-wont-boot-after-attempted-update.html

I retracted the steps.

I just install software for my printer. My printer is a "Brother MFC 8690DW" The installation of the software did require a restart. I shutdown the PC and went to the GYM and I came back and it stuck at the same screen

First I'm able to boot by using Boot with -v -f dart=0 nvda_drv=1

I reinstall the drivers for my specific build using the
Solving NVIDIA driver install problems

then I went into boot list to see if that was a change but it was exactly the same

so I delete it the "dart=0 nvda_drv=1" line of code in the org.chameleon.Boot.plist file and restarted the CPU still no change. Then I boot with -v -f dart=0 nvda_drv=1 then I added the "dart=0 nvda_drv=1" line back to the boot list file and restarted and still no solution

Ok, lets work in this thread, not both...

Boot in verbose mode -v and post a screen capture of the failure to boot

What exactly did you install? Printer software, drivers? etc..

And, you did correctly reinsert;dart=0 & nvda_drv=1 ?

basically just drivers and software that is it. And yes I correctly inserted that line of code back

fun fact: I don't know if this matters or not but I have two dell screens connect via DVI. so i have a dual monitor setup. On the second monitor i have my dell desktop connected via VGA and the hackintosh connected via DVI at the same time. I usually just press the button that switches between the digital and analog input to switch between computers screens/display
