Either setup works, though most people find the install easier to do with two separate drives. If you have two drives, install Windows first on one of them, then physically unplug it and install Mac OS X on the other one. After that's done, plug the Windows drive back in. Make sure the Mac OS X drive is first in the boot order, and the Chimera bootloader should see the Windows drive, giving you the option to boot from it.
