Hi,
I was looking to build another system for work and thought I would duplicate this one (see specs in my Sig). I want to maximize speed for use with either Parallels Desktop or native Win 7 so I started running Geekbench (64 bit) in OS X (10.7.4), Parallels and Native Win 7 on this same box. I realized that my OS X build must be missing something because my Geekbench score is 6162 running OSX and 16403 running Win 7 Home on the same box.
Did I screw up something on the OSX installation? The system has been rock solid otherwise and seems fast to me but I moved up from a 7 yr old g5 .
6162 vs 16403 on the same hardware is depressing. I followed the bios tuning instructions at Lnx2Mac's Blog (likely how those Win 7 scores are so high). If I can't squeeze more speed out of OS X on this hardware, I'll have to run Win 7 (Uggggh!).
Any help would be appreciated.
Jeff
