Hi, I finally managed to get OS X to install on my system today, and the first boot after installation worked flawlessly. However, I installed PDANet to use my iPod touch as a Wi-Fi receiver, and after rebooting, it got stuck during the boot sequence.

I booted into Safe Mode and ran MultiBeast and installed a few kexts that I though were necessary, and now I seem to get this error during normal and Safe boots:

Super IODevice: [Fatal] found unsupported ship ITE sequence ID=0x8572, Winbond sequence ID=0xffff

I've tried a number of boot flags, but none of them seemed to work. Any ideas?

Here are my system specs:

HP Pavlion g6-1d38dx Notebook PC
Intel Core i3-2350M @ 2.30GHz
Intel HD 3000 Integrated Graphics
8GB 1333MHz DDR3 RAM
Insyde Motherboard (BIOS version F.37)

That is just LPCSensors.kext (a sensor PlugIn for FakeSMC) that is telling you it doesn't support your chip ('ship' should be 'chip', I think).

If you believe adding PDANet to your system caused the problem, you should probably focus on removing it. Or if you don't know what it installed, you should probably start over with a fresh install.

It could be you're running into some other problem. Your post is short on details. Have you tried booting with "-v" to diagnose the boot problem?

Hi

I get the same thing running Maverick on my desktop MAD PRO.
it runs 10.8.5 without any problem...
i can install 10.9 no problem, but after when booting i cannot boot without -x.
attached screen dumps of KP.

Unibeast with legacy usb.
tried replacing AMD5000controller.kext from 10.8.5 no luck.

io.reg attached as well:

This the laptop section, not appropriate for desktop questions.

But your KP is in AppleTyMCEDriver is caused by using a MacPro5,1 smbios in a machine without ECC RAM. Remove AppleTyMCEDriver.kext or change your smbios to MacPro3,1.

The warning from LPCSensors is explained above.

thanks.......

I got similar error with my 10.9.1 setup.

is that why my fan sped is not detected??
And also my fan is not speeding up when on high activity (like play some games)
Anything else is running fine.

my setup is Asus notebook G75vw, GTX 670m
Clover bootloader and slightly edited dsdt

LPCSensors.kext really only supports desktop boards. No laptop boards are supported. If you don't want to see the message in the log, remove FakeSMC.kext/Contents/PlugIns/LPCSensors.kext.

Thank you for the reply.
So that is why.
But is it still possible to get fan speed data, maybe with DSDT patch???
