The OS X Supplemental Update is available via the AppStore or
from here: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1600

Should cause no issues as only a few extension are contained/modified:

IOHIDFamily.kext
IOPCIFamily.kext
webcontentfilter.kext

Installed without problems, but it does not resolve the DVD player issue -70012.

Use this, hope it helps.I fixed mine with this : " It appears to be that Mountain Lion thinks that our DVD drives are not internal anymore. Try launching DVD Player and it will tell you that a valid DVD player could not be found.

I fixed that problem by editing /System/Library/Frameworks/DVDPlayback.framework/Versions/A/DVDPlayback with 0xED app and replacing any reference to "Internal" with "External"

This makes the DVD Player work but as far as the OS is concerned the drive is still external and F12 will not work to eject." .Good Luck :)
