Sad and already we are witnessing an Apple without the WOW and Awesome factors.
Tim Cook is doing a good hands on job particularly with respect to the IP5 launch and availability of the units in many countries, but where is the magic?
Steve Jobs was unique and a one off and cannot be replaced, so it is inevitable without his insight and vision that things will not have the same impact in the future.
I think it is a little early to be saying things like that. There was always plenty of missteps in Apple's history with him at the helm. Until there is a clear pattern set forth I call shenanigans.
The retina iPad went off without a hitch as well as the Retina MBP. The iPhone 5 maps issue and some "scuffs" on aluminum isn't enough for me to say that things have gotten off track. The maps being the biggest one and it is a vital move that even Steve himself would have had to made if he was still around. I will say that this is the biggest problem with Apple's secrecy. When they do really ambitious things that have a level of human error(Siri, Maps) they are expecting it to do poorly. I mean products like that have at most a few hundred beta testers? No where near the amount needed to get the user feedback levels required to make a stellar product. Now a year later Siri is a TON better.
Long story short, let's wait and see.
