I am thinking about getting this motherboard:
GIGABYTE GA-H270-Gaming 3
Along with the i7 7700k 4.2ghz kaby lake cpu.
I have an old machine (intel dp67bg mb and i7 2600, 3.45ghz cpu).
The main reason i am upgrading is because of the cpu. The 2600 is actually very powerful, but when i overclock it, the overclocking is not active in Sierra (I have tried many things, but nothing worked). It works fine in windows. I am starting to notice cpu problems when doing work (music production).
In that machine i have 16g of 1333 RAM. Will that work on the new mb or do i need to get new RAM?
According to this page:
https://www.cnet.com/products/gigab...-0-motherboard-atx-lga1151-socket-h270/specs/https://www.cnet.com/products/gigab...-0-motherboard-atx-lga1151-socket-h270/specs/
only this is supported:
Supported RAM
Will it still work? but not at optimal speed?
Or just not work at all?
Thanks.
