Hello People,

Just a little bit frustrated about this

i have a old P6t se Asus but i can't get it to render normal,
he is rendering for +/- 10 seconds and then the computer slows down drastically.

i am using "Voila" to videoscreen-capturing
and DaVinci resolve for editing video.

Is there a person who can help me out?

And i know its an old motherboard.

the first config file is downloaded from this site.
The second one i have bult, but they don't do the rendering good.
the one with te most changes

Im Working on OSX 10.13.6

But he works nice on Maschine, almost real stable.

Thanks,
Peter

are there other people who have fixed this problem?

Thanks in advance
Peter

changed some things, now i have OpenCL benchmark score 126519
I really don't know if its good.

but i hope to get the render problem solved.

No reactions, nice here.
now im running mojave,
And i can say, its almost stable,

But rendering is slow on my RX 580
i need to finetune this system,
but im afraid that i have made i big mistake.

The harddisk is APFS formatted.
and now i can't change the EFI i think.
maybe i format it under linux i hope.
and than the older file system back.

Can't change the EFI partition? I would think if you mount the EFI partition in Mojave you will be able to change its contents.

You wish to reformat the disk? If you do so, and if then you reinstall Mojave on it, I would think it will be converted to APFS again. I don't think this is what you want, right?

Hello 007,

Yes your right,
i have to think over this new problem,
But for now, i can if you say, mount it in the terminal program.
and change my EFI partition.

Can you render in H.264 format?
By all of my programs i get a freezing system, it slows down dramatically and
stops working and i have to reset the computer.

My music programs are working almost fine,
sometimes i see a very short stutter and a small latency, but hearable.
But that's only importent if we go ever live.

I see you have also a RX 580,
Are you also on Mojave Beta 10.14 (18A389)?

No, I am still on Sierra 10.12.6 and High Sierra 10.13.6. I don't plan to get into Mojave until at least 10.14.4, maybe even later.

It looks like, that everything is working now.
i have a average openCLscore of 128667 at geekbench
I think its ok now.

Thanks for your tips 007
