A thread like this needs to be created, the only reason I have a hackintosh is for music purposes and info on the subject is scarce.
I'm running Logic Pro 9, Cubase 6, and mostly Kontakt/PLAY engines.

Please feel free to share your success and dilemmas, and to PM me so we can talk more.

Thanks!

I love the performance of my hardware in os x. It is 1000* better for a daw as windows.

Hey.. I think i posted this somewhere else..

Looking to build a hackintosh for my older Pro Tools HD rig. I have 4 HD cards that I would like to continue to use.

Anyone know of a compatible motherboard with 4 PCI slots

Babyface crackle pops. Also makes stuttering sounds and then crashes Total Mix.

Hi,

I'm having trouble installing Logic Pro 9 on my hackintosh, the following message appears: Alert
Logic Studio installer recommends that youru system have 64 MB or VRAM, this system has only 0 MB or VRAM...Logic Studio Installer requires that your system have a Quartz Extreme capable video card.

Asus P8Z77-V PRO/THUNDERBOLT (Video is onboard)

Which video card is recommended?

Thx...

I'm running Logic Pro 8 on my ivy bridge system (see signature) using m-audio profire 610, plugged in to StarTech firewire card. Logic runs great, no problems recording at 24bit/192 khz.
