Just updated to OC 0.6.2 from 0.6.1 and have found something weird.
I wanted to check OpenCore version number to read 0.6.2

I used Hackintool.app & Terminal command to see what version OC is showing.
To my surprise it is still showing 0.6.1 ?

I know I updated the EFI files directly from the OC release so cant figure out what is going on.

To see what version of OpenCore you're using, you can run the following in Terminal.

nvram 4D1FDA02-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B30102:
opencore-version

Any thoughts

Hi - I think something went wrong with your OC 0.6.2 version update because after running the Terminal command it should have returned this result (in the pic) giving the released version along with the date. I suggest you try the 0.6.2 update again. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback.

I have tried updating many times with out any luck,

Could this be an issue with nvram. I mean should I reset it.

As a general rule in OC one should clean NVRAM when making a change to purge remnants of previous settings from the system.

Code:
nvram 4D1FDA02-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B30102:
opencore-version 4D1FDA02-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B30102:opencore-version DBG-062-2020-10-05

You may check it on the Boot Picker screen, you can see your bootloader version (DBG-062-2020-10-05)

Thanks, I use OpenCanopy to get those nice icons on screen. Migrating from Clover to OC requires a clean out namely in S/L/E & L/E folders.

Luckily everything is working great and is much faster.

Okay just an update, finally was able to get OC to display version number. OC 0.6.2

Config.plist MISC->Security->ExposeSesitiveData->15

Just a note though you can set ExposeSesitiveData to a lesser value.

Hope this helps someone.
