nvidia vs amd

I currently am on 10.7.3 with GTS250. Playing diablo 3 i'm getting around 30fps. I was wondering if generally AMD's or nvidia perform better in MAC gaming. I'm assuming AMD since they're actually sold in MacPro's. I'm looking to upgrade to an HD6870. Any insight would be helpful. thanks guys.

Would would say NVIDIA FTW. There are reports of Radeon 6XXX cards not working in ML, but the opposite for Nvidia Cards. I have a GTX 560 Ti and I love it.

Nvidia is clearly the way to go for now.

They've lowered their prices on the 670 and the 660ti is a good card at under $300.

AMD is not the dominant force it was 2 years ago.
