We've got an Asus Z79-A motherboard with a GeForce GTX950 Graphics card. It's a Haswell i7-r4790k, 24GB of RAM, a 250 GB SSD and 1TB hard drive. The system had been running perfectly on Yosemite with a Chimera boot loader for about 2 years. Well, the system drive went to a dark place and became unbeatable, and for that matter unreadable. We rebuilt the system, this time moving to the latest Clover and Sierra 10.12.6. It's working, and the GeForce card is driving the 3 monitors hooked up to it, BUT every time we choose the NVIDIA preference pane from the system preferences, we get "could not load" message. The drivers are the latest available from NVIDIA for Sierra (WebDriver-378.05.0525f01). We've removed everything NVIDIA related and reinstalled several times to no avail. the nvidiaweb (or whatever it is called) is enabled in the CLOVER/config.plist. As I said the drivers appear to be working and support the multi-monitor environment. Also, the drivers show up when checking about this Mac. It's just that the preference pane won't load. So questions: How can we fix this? and do we really care?
