nVidia GTS-450 - Fermi update required for 10.6.8?

Hi,

I am looking to update to 10.6.8 and see that nVidia fermi related cards need a driver update.

Can anyone confirm please if the GTS450 is indeed one of these?

Yes, you need the drivers for that card.

I have installed this update but it don't work, it's still an unknow monitor. Can someone help me ?

Edit : It works with PCIRootUID=1. But I have random freezes

I have my own nightmare happening from attempting 10.6.8 and then Lion in one shot so I don't know if this still works in these version but previous on 10.6.7 and earlier running the MACH DESKTOP with an animated background stopped the "FERMI Freeze" apparently by keeping the card out of energy saver mode. This fixed it for me with the GTS 450. It's a hack but works.
