The GT610 is not supported any longer by Apple. If running Sierra then I suggest looking to upgrade the GPU.

@jmore - Did you go for the GT710? How much better is it or your final substitution?

I wanted audio over HDMI so I plucked the GT610 from my old PC that is for GTA 5 gaming.
I got the sound but the resolution fell. Someone told me that if my card has DP to try that
Unfortunately, the other options were VGA and DVI.
Those did the trick with DVI being the best at a loss again for audio over my TV's speakers.
