I am about to buy a refurbished HP i5-750 PC that comes with a non-standard
(at least from I have gathered) Nvidia Geforce GT230 1.5 GB graphic card.
Has anyone has any success getting to work under 10.6.2? I googled it and
there are little info on this card and in fact most people are in fact confused
about it. Some suggested that this is a rebranded 9600GT Any help or pointers
on this would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Heard of the 220 and the 240 but not the 230. If it's a rebranded 9600 you'll have nothing to worry about- will work with any graphics enabler method. Either NVenabler, Chameleon's GraphicsEnabler=Yes, or DSDT edits. It will be compatible with iBoot + MultiBeast. Good luck!

GT240 -

Had trouble with NVenabler showing the card properly in system Profiler. Showed during the boot. NVenabler probe = probe failed.

Chameleon's GraphicsEnabler=Yes works fine. Start without NVenabler, and check out the system profiler. Check for ripple when you add a widget.

Good luck.
