The first card should launch on the 16[SUP]th[/SUP] of August which is Thursday next week and that's the GTX 660 Ti which is based on the GK104 GPU core, i.e. the same one used in the GTX 670 and GTX 680 card.
This is then being followed by the GeForce GTX 660 and the GeForce GTS 650, both of which are said to launch on the 6[SUP]th[/SUP] of September, or in less than a month. The GTX 660 is based on the GK106 core whereas the GTS 650 is based on the GK107 core, i.e. the same as the GT 640. The difference between the GTS 650 and the GT 640 is that the GTS 650 will use GDDR5 memory whereas the GT 640 is stuck with DDR 3 memory.
Finally, sometime in October the GTX 650 is expected – possibly with or without Ti branding – which is also based on the GK106 GPU core, just like the GTX 660.
As to which of these cards will work in OS X, well, we'll just have to wait and see, but the GTX 660 Ti is pretty much guaranteed to work due to the fact that it's using the same GPU core as already working cards. This also suggests the GTS 650 should work and it might be the budget card of choice, as the GT 640 doesn't really impress much. Not long to wait now and we'll be testing out the new cards as soon as they're available in retail.
