Nvidia driver not working after UEFI BOIS upgrade!

Hi All

I have a system based on the ASUS Maximus VIII Formula motherboard and I upgraded the BIOS to version 3101 (from 2202) and the Nvidia no longer loads, it reverts to the OS X driver which really is no good!

My OS is 10.11.6 build 15G1217, with the Security Update 2016-003 Supplemental Update.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Asus has recently broken native NVRAM capabilities with their BIOS updates, so either revert to an older BIOS or use other means to emulate NVRAM. I think the most recent Clover revision has NVRAM emulation integrated.

Thanks for the prompt response.

I tried reverting the BIOS back and got an error saying it was not a valid BIOS file, but I guess that issue for is the ASUS forum.

Will try the Clover option...

I managed to downgrade the BIOS though it continues to boot to a blank screen. Remote login to the box works fine.

I did get the machine working again, Method 3 solved the issue.

So shall I stay away from Bios upgrades? Has anyone got version 3101 working successfully?
