Nvidia 8800GT not showing in 10.6

Hi everyone.

I have an issue going here.

I have a core2 dual 3.0 running on a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L with a Nvidia 8800 GT Running MacOSx 10.6 snow leopard.

I used the latest Iboot, combo update and mutlibeast on easy and dsdt and I have no way of making the video card to work. It only gives standard VGA at 1024x768.
I have downloaded drivers. Modified the the com.apple.boot.plist by typing in the following:

Still after all of this, the computer refuses to provide me the resolution I want. Plus videos on the net will not be displayed. Say I load youtube, I click on the video, the bar moves but the video screen is black.

It stuck me odd that the system only sees 3 mb of vram instead of the 512mb.

I need some help here, this is all I need to enjoy my new computer.

Hi mate.

I was getting the same error.

The way that worked for me was:

Fresh install, comboupdate10.6.8+multibeast-->UserDSDT,DISK,ETHERNET,AUDIO(alc8xx)CHIMERA,64BIT apple boot screen

I have both gtx480 and 8800gtx, putting them separately the work in full hd res, but i must take a look if they have full 3d accel.

Thanks. It didnt work. But I ended up getting an ATI video card.

Hey manny, how you doin'?

Post your results with your ati card, and if you want, test again with SL or Lion your 8800gtx.

Have you tried to use "Graphic enabler=Yes/No?
