PartitionDxe isn't strictly needed, but it's required to read 'odd' partition types, like if you have a hybrid MBR/GPT partition map, or APM partitioned drive. That said, there are no downsides from it being loaded if it's not needed; I think it's selected by default in RehabMan's Clover fork.
Ok so I disabled all the SATA ports in my system, had to remove my Nvme because I could not find a way to disable it. I upgraded to Mojave on my SSD and it's now working. If I reinstall my Nvme drive and use CC to clone my SSD to my Nvme, will that work? How are people getting Mojave installed on Nvme drives?
Note that ApfsDriverLoader-64.efi needs several other EFI drivers loaded to function. AptioMemoryFix-64.efi, (and not the older osxaptiofix3drv-64.efi or similar), DataHubDxe-64.efi, and PartitionDxe-64 must also be loaded properly.
